Description
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 GREAT NEWS,BASEBALLCARDSTORIES WILL BE ACCEPTING OFFERS TO CREATE AN ART WORK ON COMMISSION.SEND INQUIRIES TO ME .THEY CAN CREATE ANY SIZE,ANY THEME,ANY TEAM ANY PERSON OR ANY SPORT. This original art piece was created by a new art studio named Baseballcardstories. The studio has created several original art pieces that are handcrafted and made using only baseball cards. Every part of the art is a creative use of baseball cards. They are releasing this piece as their tribute to the Yankees from 1996-2007.Baseballcardstories art has several elements. First, they generate a story told through cards. Secondly they create a fun and different word description for each work. Then they create an artistic center that expresses the theme using only the baseball cards. The story is completed with a collage of player cards representing the history and originality of the work.Over eighty players and several team cards were used. This particular work is named, The Torre Years. The work represents the period in Yankee history that was from 1996-2007. The work is 30x40 inches. A classroom setting was selected as the center focal point since Joe Torre left the team and the period can be considered history. The outside trim is a collection of cards from Joe Torreās life in baseball from Milwaukee to New York. Between the outside and the classroom is a collage that includes great moments and showcases over eighty players from the time period. The art piece measures 30x40 inches, it is framed in a light color wood. It is protected by a Plexiglas sheet. The total dimension with the frame is 33x43 inches. There is so much history captured, that the piece can be studied for hours. The artists attempted to use only cards with Yankees but some of the colors required using other teams. Rest assured, no Boston cards where used on the work.Several photos have been used to assist you in getting a feel for the piece but I admit it is impossible to capture the true grandeur and size of the art through pictures. This is the only piece we know of showing a tribute to the great teams of that time managed by Joe Torre. There is only one Torre era in Yankee history. This will be a great conversation piece in any setting. There is so much history captured, that the piece can be studied for hours. The studio has dreams that the piece will be donated to a gallery or sports museum that showcase and share the memories but that is up to the buyer.Baseballcardstories is giving a portion of the proceeds to baseball programs that assist underprivileged and disadvantaged youths.Baseballcardstories is also offering the framing at no additional charge. Since this is new for me to be selling unique art work I will only be able to accept payment by PayPal and will need payment within three days of the conclusion of the auction. The product will be shipped as soon as possible. Shipping will be limited to the United States. All sales are final. This is truly a unique and a real one of a kind work. The work to conceive the idea, the collection of the cards, the sorting, cutting and placement of the cards was enormous. The winner will have a work that everyone will envy.
