Description
2005 StewMade “Stew Craft” Boat Guitar This is a 2005 StewMade Stew Craft boat guitar inspired by the old 1930’s – 40’s mahogany Chris Craft Barrel back Roundabout boats. The guitar made from hand selected Honduras mahogany and poplar wood, laminated into one solid body. The neck is also mahogany with aged white binding and pau ferro fingerboard. One unique feature is that there are individual pickup selector toggles switches, and a deck navigation port/starboard light, fabricated by myself. The light actually works via a small slider switch located on the chrome plated section of the guitar body (battery type A25). Features are: - Gotoh 510 chrome tuners - Corian nut - Gotoh side fine tuning truss rod adjustment hex screw near heel of the neck - Lace Sensor “Chrome Domes” single coil pickups - Gotoh vintage 6 screw tremolo bridge - Custom designed clear plastic pickguard - Jim Dunlop strap locks - White pearl “stern light” inspired volume knob - Independent pickup selector mini toggle swithing. - Dummy rhythm circuit tone/volume knobs - Side mono jack input so not to interfere with “boat deck” appearance. - Custom StewMade neckplate (chrome) - 100% nitrocellulose lacquer (hand rubbed) - Weight is about 10lbs - Fat V neck profile - Jumbo frets - Mother of pearl fingerboard dot inlay. This guitar is mainly to be used as an art piece but still is completely capable of being used as a fully functional guitar. If you’re a Chris Craft mahogany boat enthusiast that happens to be a couch guitar player, then you’ll have to get one of these guitars to either hang on the wall and/or play on occasion. Each guitar is made one at a time. No two boat guitars are alike. This will be the last of the nitrocellulose versions of these boat guitars. I want something more road worthy so I’ll be switching to a thin urethane next year. Check out the reviews on other guitars I’ve built on http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews//brand/Stewmade+Guitars. To hear this guitar, scroll down to the bottom page after images. This guitar includes - Nautical flag guitar strap. - Vintage floatation buoy guitar case key ring - Hardshell case from Ameritage, which includes a humidifier. Shipping is a flat $75 UPS. No International shipping. Guitar is being sold as is. Everything has been checked to insure all is working properly at the time of shipping. No refunds. I reserve the right to refuse bidding from negative feedback bidders. Serious offers only please. I’ll accept Paypal, money orders or bank certified cashier’s checks.
